The idea for AudiencePlus emerged from the mind of our co-founder, Anthony Kennada, who spent over a decade in the Chief Marketing Officer role for leading SaaS companies like Gainsight, Front and Hopin. While the traditional marketing playbooks of the time have championed “automating” demand generation with digital advertising and outbound email sequences, Anthony found success executing a human-first approach to marketing instead that focused on building and monetizing thought leadership through content, events, and community.
Ten years later, the SaaS marketing playbook still hasn’t evolved.
The next chapter of our industry will look more like consumer marketing, with demand teams focusing their programs on building, engaging, and monetizing owned audiences. With these trends converging, new headwinds around distribution and resources emerging, and no brand in the marketplace championing a path forward, Anthony made the decision to step down from his career as a CMO to start AudiencePlus in March 2022 with co-founder Tyler Sparks.
