Director of Copy
Job Description
The Director of Copy is responsible for the story, voice, tone and personality of the company through written words. Reporting up to the VP of Brand and Creative, this person will seek to create impactful copy for websites, blogs, emails, and social media that resonates with tech/B2B buyers and B2C technical learners. They will analyze and optimize copy performance using data insights, ensuring alignment with business goals. They understand our audience segments across B2B and B2C and personalize how to speak to them. Who you’re committed to being: You are passionate about brand building and creative storytelling. Job Responsibilities
Drive a consumer-centric (B2C, B2B, Public Sector) approach to copywriting across all stages, from strategy and planning through concepting and final production. Gain a deep understanding of key customer segments and goals to develop copy that aligns with each segment’s mindset, psychographic, and behavioral attributes. Collaborate with Marketing strategic leaders and direct the copywriting team and external partners on strategy and deliverables for all omni-channel campaigns, including display, social, affiliate, email, online video, blog, landing pages, PR, sales, and events. Define and maintain brand guidelines for Pluralsight’s tone and voice, ensuring they support the brand positioning and are consistently documented, communicated, and adhered to. Collaborate with Digital Experience, Media, and Testing & Optimization teams to develop strategic and personalized copy that enhances the user experience and drives site conversion rates. Collaborate with Product Marketing to develop sales enablement assets to support B2B and Public Sector Sales teams. Coordinate with analytics, digital marketing, and media teams to test and optimize copy, including SEO and search results.
Job Requirements
Experience in developing customer-centric experiences. Demonstrated proficiency in building dynamic campaigns and programs. Understanding of marketing across multiple channels (digital, field, events, PR, web, sales) and experience driving a unified vision across those channels. An understanding of branding from the voice and tone perspective.
